New furniture.....

Well we are finally getting new furniture~ I am so excited!!!!!! We went out on Saturday to the Brick, and bit the bullet! The furniture arrives on Thursday!

Hmmmm... that's about all thats new, other than Joshua has begun saying "ple" (please). Which is very cute. He's also quite interested in his anatomy, whenever the diaper is off, the hands are exploring.... I have begun sitting him on the toilett before he goes into the bath, so far nothing has happened. I am not going to push it!

over a month

Ok so its been way to ling since I last posted, and I will be surprised should anyone still be reading this!
Things are busy right now as we are having a big sale at the bookstore that I work at. That and RAy is plannign a huge youth even thats happening this weekend, and we are having more company - which is not abad thing, it just means that I need to clean my house. Which, I need motivation to do..... really Joshua only needs 5 minutes to undo whatI have spent an hour cleaning..... Master of Mess! I found out that friends of mine are moving out west at the end of may.... so I am a little sad about it, but happy for them and hopefully it will be all that they want it to be.
So I have been watching American Idol, and I think Jordan is great, as is Melinda, I'm not hot on any of the guys - which I am sure Ray is glad about :). I also watched the Search for the next Doll.... and I really think that Melissa R should have won.

The weather has been gorgeous down here, and Joshua loves playing outside... we walk to the park and he goes in the swing - I wish we had a tree in our backyard.... then I wouldn't have to walk the 5 minutes to thepark - I know LAZY! I would like to get Joshua one of the heavy duty plastic kids slides, I think that he would like it alot. He's calling everything a "puupy" lately, although when you ask him what sound a puppy makes, he gives you the correct one... he is also using "uh-oh" all the time, which is so cute except when he's throwing his food on the floor.... He's at this stage where he only eats what he wants to eat and good luck getting him to eat anything else. Right now it;s a banana and grape kick... Although I am thankful that he seems to be eating for daycare, so he's getting nutrients.

well I would have more, but one never knows whose reading this and so I must keep some of my thoughts to myself... somethings are better left unsaid right?

vacation... French Lick

ok well we got back yesterday from vacation and we hada great time. We met up with the Floyds, Fowlers, and Hockelys - it was great to see them and spend time with them.

Joshua really enjoyed the trip and he travelled really well. I am not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, as I am sure most people don't after being on holidays.

Well, Joshua is making a bit of a mess... so I shall go. I miss you all very much - more than I can express.....

Well I know its been a long time since I last posted anything, and probably you are no longer looking at this page but in case you are .... here are some photos of Joshua... the birhtday cake that my sunt graciouly made for him... so special, and then some random other photos....

I haven't been posting b/c I ahve bee nso busy working full time and when I get home I just want to veg, and spend time with joshua, and by the time he goes to bed I am too tired....

so heres an update, we celebrated joshua's birhtday with family that came up for the weekend. Joshua is doing very well in daycare, and doesn't cry when i dropp him off. Joshua is getting over a throat infection, not just "what every kid in windsor has -right now" according to his doctor! Ray's been busy with work - he just got back from chicago, he was at a student conference at willow creek - it was amazing. I am slowly catching my stride as I try to figure out how to balance working full time and managing our household. We are heading off to French Lick again this year... I am very excited.

Joshua is making faces and has started giving the nastiest looks to people - especailly when he doesn't get his own way. He says "puppy" and "clock" although we can;t really make out the "L" in that word.... he waves bye bye and sometime will say it, he knows what a ball is and will get it for you - and if your lucky he might say it for you. He's a joy to us, and is always entertaining us!

Great Wolf Lodge

Hey everyone! Sorry that its been so long since I have posted anything... we are all adjusting to my not being home during the day and I have to much to do when I get home that I have let my blogging slip!

I am loving my job... of course anyone who knows me, knows that I love to be in charge! I am still training, and am praying that I will remember all of the stuff that I am learning! One thing that I have noticed in going back to work... I have a deeper appreciation for playing with Joshua when I get home. It's a different outlook for me. I love it - I love coming home to him and him being so excited to see me that he drops what he's doing an runs to me! Unashamed, and full of love and excitement!

We just returned from Great Wolf Lodge Niagra Falls... it was great! We were there for a district retreat, and we loved it. The speaker was fantastic, its was as though he had been watching our lives for the last while! Ray's folks came up to the lodge to be with joshua while we were at the sessions. Although Joshua didn't sleep during the night, and Ray and I were running on very little sleep we had a great time.

Joshua's first birthday is coming up very soon, and all of our families are coming up... which will be fun, but crowded! Joshua is such a Joy to us ! Well that's all for now.. I will post again soon....

ok So, I have retruned from a trip to the hospital.... everything was going along fine, Joshua was getting tired, and so I was getting him ready for bed, I got a diaper, a sleeper and a towel... bath time! Joshua gets in the tub and won't sit down... which is a phase that he's going through! Then he finds the soap... so he's playing this game of "catch the soap" which he can't because it's to slippery, I am having fun watching him... it's cute. Then he decides to stand up, he wobbles a bit but catches himself, only to try again, and this time he's not so successful... he hits his head on the side of the tub. i can deal with a bump on the forehead... we've had lots of those, so I pick him up to soothe him and after a minute I notice that he's bleeding... from his eye lid. Of course by now hes calmed down, but he won't let me touch him long enough to get the bleeding stopped. I tried to Call Ray, no answer, his cousin, no answer... finally, a few phone calss later I call a nurse at our church and he tells me to get the bleeding stopped and then see what the damage is, Ihe may haveto go to the hospital. Well, I am supposed to be going out, so I cancel my plans, and when my babystitter shows up I tell her, sorry but I have to take Joshua to the hospital... thankfully she just live next door... she goes and gets her mom, and they both take me to hospital. Thankfully! I get to hospital, and Joshua is acting fine, but I want the nurse to look at him, so I wait for my turn to see the triage nurse, the person in her office before me asks how long the wait is... 3 hours and 44 minutes.... yikes. Thankfully when she saw Joshua, she just cleaned his eye and said that it will heal, and that I didn't need to wait. He would be fine.... Praise God! Sigh of Relief... Joshua is going to be fine and I don't have to wait 3hr and 44 min...

Also Joshua for the last 2 days has decided that he won't napp in the afternoon.... which I am hoping will mean that he will sleep better in the night... thats what happend last night... dare I hope for 2 nights in a row?

Hey....

ok, here's the latest update... Joshua is doing really well... he slept throught the night last night which was great b/c ray and I were both bvery tired. My first day of work went well... and joshua faired well with the babysitter.

We went for a walk today, which was kind of cold. but I bundled him up and once we got going it wasn't that bad... It was sunny out and I had to take advantage of it!

I went to MOPS today, it was depressing... They had a Women come in to talk about natural health, and I came away from the meeting feeling crappy instead of uplifted. I know that we need to know what we are doing or eating that is not right for us but, I think that she could have put a different spin on it. I am a bigger girl right.... so when I hear that your body stores toxicians in fat cells... that cause caner etc... I felt like there was a spot light on me.... not that I am the only bigger person there but you know? Anyway, I left feeling yucky - about the things ieat and about my self. I can choose to continue to feel that way, and have a pity party... I would love to do that but that's not going to get me anywhere... Hence the walk. I know that I need to make changes, and I want to - one step at a time.

So Joshua doing some neat things, he is saying "puppy", he is "hoarding" food, he'll take it from his tray and put it on his seat beside him... its weird. he is also dancing now... like this elmo toy he got for christmas (it throws it's hand in the air) ... it's totally cute....

Well Joshua is calling and so I must go.... did I mention after my walk I made some cookies...

Hey everyone, I got the job! I started on Friday... I went in for training, the store looks great! The biggest problem will be my wanting to buy everything in the store! The daycare that I am going to sign Joshua up for is literally across the road. Which is very reassuring, I can see the playground!

I have more to say... Our brown ranger is sucking the life out of me - and our non-suffienct bank account! GRRRRRR!

Joshua is doing well... dancing, talking- or at least making sounds, and We love him so much!

I plan to up load pictures... I got a new camera... so I have to load the soft ware!

Lizzie, I miss you- how was your Christmas? are you going to fly down here... or what... Call me!
